Sculptures

     The idea of what a sculpture is to me has certainly changed.  At first I thought that sculptures were just simple or complex objects that one would use to fill a space.  Now I realize that sculptures have many more uses than simply occupying a space.  Sculptures can be used to create a sense of interaction between the viewer and the artwork.  They can be both visually pleasing and functional as well.  They can be used as places of meditation and reflection.  Sculptures can be described as a physical manifestation of the mind.

Symposium 1

        Art history has changed a lot over the years.  There are many new careers in the field of art history.  Appraisals, Curating, and Exhibition Design are just a few of the exciting career opportunities available with an art history degree.  Creative writing has many new aspects about it.  Also that the traditional form of the English language is always changing and there is a fear among some that we may lose our grasp on what we consider proper language.

Wanted to show the contrast between the modern building and the old one and how they come together.
