Photography and Digital Film

    Photography is useful in more ways than I previously thought.  Photoshop has many tools that come from the same techniques as using a darkroom.  Photography is a way of capturing an emotional perspective.  Digital film has developed more as a result of the screen culture.  It is becoming a more physical and emotional experience. There are many different applications in the field of digital film.  While video installations in a gallery are a good way to express communication, these pieces express a personal experience.  Performance art is also a form of visual media in which the usual intent is to express a social message through the piece. Sound work is also one of the aspects that plays an important part in film and brings the listener from a personal space into a virtual space.
